The National Organization of Italian American Women (NOIAW) is a non-profit organization founded in 1980 to promote the achievements of Italian-American women and to provide them with opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The organization’s mission is to empower and support Italian-American women through education, cultural exchange, and community service. NOIAW aims to preserve and promote the heritage and culture of Italian-Americans, celebrate their accomplishments, and advocate for their advancement in all areas of society.
NOIAW offers a variety of programs and services to its members, including scholarships, mentorship, networking events, cultural and educational events, and community service opportunities. The organization also works to raise awareness of issues affecting Italian-American women and to promote positive portrayals of Italian-American culture in the media.
NOIAW is open to all women who are of Italian descent, regardless of their nationality or religion. The organization has chapters throughout the United States and also maintains relationships with Italian and Italian-American organizations in Italy and other countries.
